deVriesTayeh is proud to be associated with many charitable organisations. We support many local community events and both Antony de Vries and Riad Tayeh sit as members on various committees for many local organisations. Every month the staff hold a casual mufti day wherein the donation to participate in same is forwarded to nominated charities that deVriesTayeh staff are personally involved in or has a relevance to their family. Below are a few of the events that we have participated in over the years. deVriesTayeh aims to assist those that are less fortunate then ourselves.

The Fun Run Raising a Little More Than Just Our Blood Pressure!

The 2006 Sun Herald City2Surf, I am happy to report that we all survived. The 14km trek from Hyde Park to the Bondi Beach pavilion to say the least was a challenge but a worthy one at that.

Citizenship

deVriesTayeh encourages good citizenship in all employees. We support various Australian charities in their annual fundraising activities, and ensure that every opportunity is created within the firm's marketing programme to make charity contributions.

A Cup Of Tea Raises $1500 for the Cancer Council Of Australia

In the wee early hours of Thursday morning, 22 May 2003, friends and colleagues joined the team at deVriesTayeh for what was promised to be Australia's Biggest Morning Tea.

deVriesTayeh Annual Prize

The deVriesTayeh Annual Prize was initiated to recognize and encourage young students at Ardlethan Central School who are looking at life opportunities that are available after the HSC.

Pro Bono Work

Both Riad Tayeh & Antony de Vries give their professional services free of charge to a number of worthy associations including, sporting and community associations.

Parramatta Cycleways Committee

Antony de Vries sits on the committee for Parramatta Cycleways. The committee assist the Parramatta City Council on matters relating to cycling including infrastructure plans and designs and enforcement programs affecting the cycling public in the local area. They oversee the implementation of the Parramata City Council's Bike Plan and recommend alterations as they consider necessary. They also provide opportunities for community members or cycling groups to raise issues of concern relating to cycling matters with relevant council officers.

Riad Tayeh - Volleyball work

Riad became the Finance Director of Australian Volleyball after restructure of a million dollar deficit. He now sits on the Asian Finance Commission and International Finance Commission.

Environment

deVriesTayeh practices a commitment to recycling & reduction of energy wastage within our office. This expresses our belief in the importance of protecting the world's precious environmental resources.
